Bruce Hornsby plans summer dates on the East Coast
Bruce Hornsby has announced a batch of 11 East Coast dates that delve deep into the summer. All of the shows are with his band, save for a symphony performance in Virginia.
Hornsby released his latest album, the live, double-CD collection "Here Come the Noisemakers" (RCA) on Oct. 24. The pianist spent the last couple of summers touring with the Grateful Dead spin-off group, the Other Ones.
Last year, Hornsby said that his collaboration with country star Ricky Skaggs on a song for the Bill Monroe tribute album "Big Mon" (Skaggs Family Records) went so well that he and Skaggs are trying to find time in their schedules to record an entire bluegrass album together.
