98 Degrees to tour with Dream, Baha Men, Debelah Morgan
Following the release of its latest single, "My Everything," 98 Degrees has announced the first leg of its "Revelation" tour, which begins March 22 in Lexington, Ky. Dream, the Baha Men and Debelah Morgan will serve as the opening acts.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Saturday (2/24) for dates in Madison, Wi.; Fort Wayne, Ind.; Erie, Pa.; State College, Pa.; Trenton, N.J.; Hamilton, Ontario; Huntington, Va.; Birmingham, Ala., and San Diego. Additional on-sale dates will be announced in the next few weeks.
98 Degrees' double-platinum 2000 album, "Revelation," peaked at No. 2 on Billboard's album chart. Sales were fueled by last summer's Latin-flavored hit, "Give Me Just One Night (Una Noche)."
To promote its upcoming tour, 98 Degrees is scheduled to appear on the "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" on Feb. 26 and the Blockbuster Entertainment Awards on April 11.
Dream and the Baha Men are each enjoying success with their most recent records. Dream's debut, "It Was All a Dream," shot to gold status soon after its Jan. 23 release. According to SoundScan, it amassed the biggest first-week sales of any girl-group debut.
In addition to its opening stint on 98 Degrees' upcoming outing, Dream will also open for 'NSync at Giants Stadium in early June, according to its spokesman.
Bahamian pop stars the Baha Men scored a hit in 2000 with "Who Let the Dogs Out" from the album of the same name. The triple-platinum record, which was released by the indie label S-Curve, is No. 52 on the Billboard 200 album chart.
R&B singer Debelah Morgan is touring behind her 2000 Atlantic Records offering "Dance With Me."
