U.K. Charts: Dido logs No. 1 album for second week running
LONDON--Former Faithless member Dido holds on to the No. 1 position on the Official U.K. Album Chart for a second week in a row with "No Angel." The artist’s debut solo effort has sold over 300,000 copies in 17 weeks, which certifies it as platinum in the U.K. No new releases debuted in the Top 10 this week.
Anastacia’s "Not That Kind" jumps from No. 3 to No. 2 and Limp Bizkit 's "Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water" falls from No. 2 to No. 3. Texas' "Greatest Hits" rises from No. 5 to No. 4 and Toploader's "Onka's Big Moka" falls from No. 4 to No. 5. Eminem 's "Marshall Mathers LP" is up from No. 10 to No. 6 and U2's "All That You Can't Leave Behind" stays at No. 7 for a second week in a row.
The Top 10 also sees Coldplay 's "Parachutes" up from No. 9 to No. 8, Dr Dre's "2001" down from No. 8 to No. 9 and OutKast's "Stankonia" up from No. 12 to No. 10, after five weeks on release.
The highest new entry this week is Spooks' "Siosos Volume One" at No. 29, followed by Terrorvision's "Good to Go" at No. 48. Fusion artist Shaggy's "Hot Shot," which is currently at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart after 26 weeks in release, has a weak British debut at No. 62.
The Official U.K. Singles Chart sees girl band Atomic Kitten stay at No. 1 with "Whole Again." Punk-pop act Wheatus debuts at No. 2 with "Teenage Dirtbag" and Papa Roach's "Last Resort" enters the chart at No. 3. Limp Bizkit stays put at No. 4 with "Rollin'" and Fun Lovin' Criminals' "Loco" debuts at No. 5.
The second half of the Top 10 sees Mya at No. 6, Joe featuring Mystikal at No. 7 and Toploader's "Dancing in the Moonlight" rise from No. 13 to No. 8.
Usher's "Pop Ya Collar" falls from No. 6 to No. 9 and U2's "Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out Of" falls from No. 2 to No. 10 after only two week's in the chart.
Notable new entries include Starsailor at No. 18 and Warp Brothers at No. 19.
