Xzibit to hit the road with D-12, Tha Liks
Fresh from opening Eminem's European tour, platinum-selling rapper Xzibit will head out on a 27-date tour on Feb. 27 with Eminems side project D-12.
For the jaunt, which runs from Feb. 27-April 11, Xzibit will also be joined by label mates Tha Liks. The rapper's tour schedule includes spot dates with OutKast and Ludacris.
Xzibit's latest album, "Restless," was certified platinum on Jan. 24, six weeks after its release. The album is his third, and follows 1996's "At the Speed of Life" and 1998's "40 Dayz and 40 Nightz." "Restless" debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top R&B Albums chart.
D-12, which releases "Devil's Night" through Interscope on March 20, was initially fingered as the group of men who incited a melee during Everlast's concert last Friday (2/2) in Detroit; its label rep said D-12 was in Europe touring with Eminem.
Fans of Tha Liks, formerly known as Tha Alkaholiks, will get a sneak preview of the band's forthcoming album, "X.O.," which hits stores on June 5. The album features guest appearances by several rappers including Busta Rhymes, Kurupt and Likwit.
