LeAnn Rimes has posted a letter on her website which says, among other things, that she apologizes for the album of "unfinished material and songs that didn't make other albums" that Curb Records is planning to release.

Tom Waits has produced bluesman John Hammond's forthcoming album "Wicked Grin," due on March 13, according to Billboard. Fans of Waits will recognize the Waits-penned and co-penned songs on the tracklist:

Heartattack and Vine
Clap Hands
'Til The Money Runs Out
16 Shells from a Thirty-Ought Six
Buzz Felderjohn
Shore Leave
Fannin Street
Jockey Full of Bourbon
Big Black Mariah
Murder in the Red Barn
I Know I've Been Changed
According to Billboard, "Fannin Street" was written for the album by Waits and his wife Kathleen Brennan, and "I Know I've Been Changed" is a traditional gospel song.
Backstreet Boys' fans can go to the group's official online store and pre-order a Valentine's Day phone call from one of the boys to be delivered to someone. Here's a sample:
WHAT'S UP Y'ALL THIS IS AJ FROM THE BACKSTREET BOYS. AND SOMEONE REALLY LOVES YOU AND ASKED ME TO SEND YOU THIS MESSAGE. THEY WANT YOU TO KNOW JUST HOW SPECIAL YOU REALLY ARE AND WISH YOU A FANTASTIC VALENTINE'S DAY. LOVE ALWAYS. HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY. PEACE.
Now why would anyone choose to let AJ into their romance, even as a messenger?
Guys: once your girl hears AJ's sweet, wannabe-gangster tones on the phone, do you think she goan' give y'all any play? Hell no!
And ladies: Why y'all wanna mess witcho man's mind like that? Y'all let AJ call him up on Valentine's Day, you know what he be thinkin'? I tell you what he be thinkin'. He be thinkin' "Damn! She on a first-name basis with AJ? How'm I goan compete with that? Thass wacked. Know what I'm 'on do? I'm 'on call my girl's bes' friend, is what I'm 'on do." Suddenly, your boyfriend and your best friend are watching "Dawson's Creek" while talking on the phone while doing their homework while answering emails.
Don't say we didn't warn you. Peace out.
