Muse unveils extensive European tour
Indie trio Muse has expanded a series of April concerts in the U.K. into a two-month tour of Europe that will visit nearly 40 cities.
The group--from Teignmouth, Devon, England--will start the Continental leg of the tour in Amsterdam on April 12, and will wrap it up with a newly added second show at London’s Brixton Academy on May 30.
Sometimes compared to Radiohead, Muse has been nominated for the BRIT Award for Best British Newcomer-Indie at this year’s ceremony. The group's first album, “Showbiz,”--which was released through Mushroom Records--received generally good reviews when it was released in 1999.
Guitarist-vocalist Matthew Bellamy, bassist Chris Wolstenholme and drummer Dominic Howard are currently working on the follow up to “Showbiz," which is expected to be released this summer. They plan to release the single “Plug-In Baby” on March 5.
