3 Doors Down sets winter tour dates
3 Doors Down has lined up a series of headlining winter tour dates in support of last year’s “Better Life” (Universal) that will kick off in late February, and will be preceded by a handful of one-off shows.
Oleander will occupy one of two support slots on the outing. Shades Apart will occupy the other slot for the tour’s initial dates, and will be replaced by Fuel beginning on March 6.
3 Doors Down’s “Better Life” was released in February 2000, and features the group’s hit single, “Kryponite.” The song was recently nominated for a Grammy award in the Best Rock Song category.
“Loser,” the second single from “Better Life,” is currently No. 2 on Radio & Records latest rock chart, which measures national radio airplay. The song was No. 1 the previous week, but was knocked out of the top spot by Fuel’s single “Hemorrhage (In My Hands).” After spending the previous 12 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart, "Hemorrhage" fell to No. 2 this week.
Fuel is currently on tour with Kid Rock and Buckcherry.
Oleander is touring in support of its February 1999 release, “February Son” (Universal), which features the group’s hit, “Why I’m Here.” The album has been gold certified by the Recording Industry Association of America for shipping 500,000 copies.
Shades Apart is touring behind its 1999 Universal Records debut, “Eyewitness.”
