Less Than Jake to tour U.S. and Europe

emailLess Than Jake is gearing up for its next round of touring behind its October 2000 release, “Borders and Boundaries” (Fat Wreck Chords). The outing gets underway in the U.S. in early February, and will keep the group in the states through mid-March.
A European outing is planned following the stateside run, according to the group’s record label. The Florida-based ska-punk band has also been confirmed for this summer’s annual Vans Warped Tour festival, according to the latest edition of the band’s email newsletter.
LTJ spent much of last year on the road, including a November stint opening for Bon Jovi . Drummer Vinnie Balzano wrote about that experience in the group’s recent newsletter.
“I can tell you that we played for a half hour to people twice our age, we threw out a bunch of inflatable stuff, sang 80's rock ballads till I worried about our sanity, and basically thought the experience was cool,” Balzano wrote.
In preparation for its upcoming tour, the group recently performed two shows in its home state, one on Jan. 19 in St. Petersburg and the other on Jan. 20 in Orlando.
