Illness forces the Corrs to reschedule January dates
LONDON--Because lead singer Andrea Corr developed a serious ear infection, Irish folk-pop group the Corrs have rescheduled the U.K. leg of their "In Blue" world tour.
Six of the seven dates--which were to kick off at the EEC in Aberdeen, Scotland, on Jan. 21--have now been rescheduled for April. However, a charity concert for the U.K.’s Prince’s Trust, which was to be held at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Jan. 29, will not be rescheduled.
Doctors told Andrea Corr that she must have two weeks of complete rest to recover, and that performing could cause permanent damage.
Group member and Corr sibling Jim said in a press release, "This is the first time in our career that we've had to pull shows. We are really sorry to disappoint fans, and look forward to making it up to them."
