OutKast, Ludacris to join forces for winter-spring tour
Fellow Atlanta-based rappers OutKast and Ludacris will perform in more than two dozen North American cities during a winter-spring tour that gets underway on Feb. 28 in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
OutKast is currently on the road in Europe as Eminem’s opening act. The LaFace/Arista duo is touring in support of its October 2000 release “Stankonia,” which has been certified for sales of more than 2 million by the Recording Industry Association of America.
The debut Ludacris release, “Back for the First Time” (Def Jam South)--also released last October--has sold more than a million copies to date, according to his label. The album’s initial sales were fueled by the single “What’s Your Fantasy.” A follow-up single titled “Southern Hospitality” was recently released.
