Erykah Badu sets 20-city tour itinerary
Erykah Badu , who recently picked up two Grammy nominations for her single “Bag Lady,” will open a theater tour on Feb. 10 in Cleveland. The soul singer and actress is supporting her sophomore album, “Mama’s Gun.”
The tour is scheduled to visit 20 cities through March 18.
“Mama’s Gun” was released in November and debuted at No. 11 on the Billboard 200 album chart. It was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America in December for shipping more than a million copies.
“Bag Lady” is nominated for Grammys in the best female R&B vocal performance and best R&B song categories. Her debut album, “Baduizm,” netted her a pair of Grammy Awards in 1997.
