Briefly: R.E.M., Paul Simon, AOL-TW, Michael Jackson, Coltrane
R.E.M.'s next album, titled "Reveal," is due in May, according to the band's official website.
Paul Simon will release "You're the One In Concert" on VHS on Jan. 30 and on DVD on Feb. 13.
According to published reports, federal regulators will approve the AOL-TW any day now. Our theory is that they keep putting it off because they don't really want to be the ones who say, "Sure, this much media power can be concentrated among these few people."
According to Reuters, Michael Jackson "is to address Britain's historic Oxford Union debating society. His subject will be child welfare."
John Coltrane 's "A Love Supreme"--a jazz landmark from 1965--just went gold (500,000 copies sold), if you can believe that.
