After just nine weeks in stores, Linkin Park [ tickets ]’s debut release “Hybrid Theory” (Warner Bros.) has surpassed the million-sales mark, according to SoundScan. Hoping to continue that momentum, the Southern California-based rock band has assembled its first headlining tour.

The club tour is set to open in Seattle on Jan. 26, and is scheduled to visit 20 U.S. cities in a little less than a month. Fellow rockers Taproot [ tickets ] will open.

"We had a lot of fun on the tours we did last year; most recently with Papa Roach [ tickets ] and hed (pe),'' Linkin Park's frontman Mike Shinoda said in a statement. "But we're really looking forward to the headline tour because it will give us a chance to play some new material we haven't played yet.''

“One Step Closer,” Linkin Park’s first single, has been in rotation on MTV since mid-November. According to the band’s label, the track currently is a Top 5 song on U.S. rock and modern rock radio stations.

“Hybrid Theory” jumped from No. 39 to No. 20 on the SoundScan album sales charts last week.
