Tour Diary #9: Finger Eleven, on tour with Creed and Sevendust
Finger Eleven is not a household name, but the up-and-coming Canadian rock quintet earned the right to play before packed arenas when it was selected as an opening act for portions of Creed's North American tour, which also features Sevendust. For the last two weeks, frontman Scott Anderson has provided liveDaily with a daily update from the road.
Finger Eleven's sophomore album, "The Greyest of Blue Skies," was released by Wind-Up Records (also home to Creed) in July. The band has since been taking its music to the road, mixing club and festival dates with its arena gigs. The Creed tour is scheduled to conclude on Thursday (12/14) in Orlando, Fla.
Anderson's final two tour diary entries follow. The band plans to resume touring in January.

rolled into orlando yesterday afternoon. had big plans for the night, all of which fell completely through. at least i've got all my money ... that i didn't spend … having a really good time in orlando ... on my day off. and no one can ever take that away from me.
it's the last show. the bus looks like s---. everybody’s stuff is everywhere. nobody has any clean laundry left. actually, i have one white t-shirt given to me by a soldier at an airforce base. it has a giant eagle with a banner that states the wearer is "proud to be an american." the guy made me promise that i'd wear it on stage some day. some day when i don't want my own country to let me back in, i guess.
lots of us have been sick these last few days. some are getting better, some worse. everyone's tired ... but getting by on adrenaline. this is the end of the tour, alright.
friday the fifteenth
still in orlando. one more hour until we start the 24-hour drive back home. nobody else is up yet, and for good reason. i'm the only one who can't sleep through his hangover. still drunk, if you're looking for the truth.
the show last night was something very cool. i was glad to be a part of it, and said words to that effect on stage. i'm completely grateful to have been part of this tour. i think i slurred words to that effect at the after party. red bull and vodka. a charmingly belligerent combination. just keep me away from it, from now on. we'll all be a lot better off.
at any rate, thanks for reading, i don't know how long the good people at liveDaily intend to post my garbage, but i do know that i intend to write exactly zero diaries over the holidays. we're going back out in january, so i might speak to you then. i guess we'll see ...
thanks for reading.
