Bon Jovi plans European assault for May
update: LONDON--Following the success of the band's latest album "Crush" in Europe, Bon Jovi has announced plans to tour the U.K. and the continent at the end of May. Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora and the rest of the crew are to kick off an arena-sized venture beginning in Stockholm, Sweden on May 31.
The tour will conclude in Munich, Germany, on June 30, and tickets for the British shows are scheduled to go on sale on Saturday (12/15).
Bon Jovi sold out its summer 2000 tour of Europe, and "Crush" debuted at the top of the U.K. album chart in June. The veteran hair metal group toured the United States in November and December, where "Crush" has sold more than one million copies to date, according to the Recording Industry Association of America.
Bon Jovi is scheduled to perform the single, "Thank You For Loving Me", on the "Tonight Show with Jay Leno" later this month. The track is currently at No. 22 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart after debuting at No. 12 last week (12/3).
