Four Sting [ tickets ] shows in Florida promise to be among the hotter tickets in the coming days, but it will be tough for the ex-Police frontman to outdo the sales pace that Backstreet Boys [ tickets ] will surely hit in California on Saturday (12/9). Look for tickets to an upcoming Elton John [ tickets ] and Billy Joel [ tickets ] show in to move quickly as well.

Demonstrating touring stamina, Sting has managed to sandwich a series of Florida appearances between his January tours of South America and Mexico. Four ticket on-sales are planned for Friday (12/8) and Saturday (12/9).

Tickets for Sting’s Jan. 23 performance in Pensacola, his Jan. 24 appearance in Jacksonville, and his Jan. 27 show in Ft. Myers go on sale on Saturday at noon Eastern Time. Tickets for his Jan. 26 concert in Gainesville will hit the market at noon on Friday.

The rest of North America got its shot at tickets for stops on Backstreet Boys’ upcoming "Black & Blue" tour last week. This weekend, it will be California’s turn.

Tickets for the tour’s March 5 stop in Sacramento and its March 17 visit to San Diego will go on sale at 10 a.m. Pacific Time on Saturday. Tickets for the tour’s Dec. 10 date in Oakland go on sale on Sunday at 10 a.m. (Tickets to the Oakland show will be sold through Bass outlets and Tickets.com).

At noon Pacific Time on Saturday, tickets will go on sale for a March 14 show at Los Angeles' Staples Center. If those tickets sell quickly, expect tour promoters SFX Entertainment to add a March 15 date at the same venue.

Backstreet Boys’ publicists claim that 23 of the 26 shows that went on sale last week were instant sell-outs, and that only a few seats are available for the other three shows.

Two Green Day [ tickets ] ticket on-sales will roll out on Saturday: for an upcoming show in Madison, Wis., on-sales will begin at 10 a.m. Central Time, and on-sales for an Atlanta appearance will hit the market at 10 a.m. Eastern Time.

Tickets to Kid Rock performances in at least six cities--Huntington, W. Va., Louisville, Ky., Charlotte, S.C., Columbus, Ohio, and Roanoke, Va.--are expected to go on sale on Saturday at 10 a.m. Eastern Time.

PJ Harvey has set a Dec. 15 performance at Chicago’s Vic Theater. Tickets go on sale at noon Central Time on Friday.

Billy Joel and Elton John will perform at Phoenix’s America West Arena on Feb. 13. Tickets go on sale at noon Mountain Time on Saturday.
