U.K. Charts: Another '1' for the Beatles

LONDON--The Beatles continued to have album chart glory as their compilation "1" stayed at No. 1 for a second week in a row on Sunday (11/26). The LP, which contains all of the group's No. 1 U.S. & U.K. hits, has sold over 900,000 copies and has been certified triple-platinum after being released on Nov. 13.

Irish boy band Westlife's "Coast to Coast" remained at No. 2 for a second week and Texas' "Greatest Hits" stayed at No. 3. Meanwhile, Craig David's "Born to Do It" climbed four places to No. 4 and Coldplay's "Parachutes" climbed one place to No. 5.

The highest new entry on this week's Official U.K. Album Chart came from Enya , as her new studio album "A Day Without Rain" entered at No. 6. Other notable new entries included Elvis Presley 's "The Greatest 50 Hits" at No. 12, Backstreet Boys' "Black and Blue" at No. 13 and Wu-Tang Clan's "The W" at No. 19.

Destiny's Child took the Official U.K. Singles Chart by storm as its single "Independent Women" debuted at No. 1, pushing Leanne Rimes' "Can’t Fight the Moonlight" down to No. 2.

Craig David had the second highest new entry of the week as "Walking Away" debuted at No. 3, and Ronan Keating's latest release "The Way You Make Me Feel" went in at No. 6.

Other notable new entries included Bomfunk MCs at No. 11, 'NSync at No. 22 and Eternal at No. 24.
