LONDON-- U2 [ tickets ]'s first new album in three years sold over 300,000 copies in its first week of release as "All That You Can't Leave Behind" topped the Official U.K. Album Chart, according to data released Sunday (11/5).

The CD, which was certified platinum, sent Texas [ tickets ]' "The Greatest Hits" down to the No. 2 position as Blur's "The Best Of" debuted in the chart at No. 3 and pop group Steps' new album "Buzz" entered at No. 4.

Meanwhile, Coldplay's "Parachutes" fell from No. 3 to No. 5 and All Saints' "Saints & Sinners" fell from No. 2 to No. 6. Other new chart entries included Samantha Mumba at No. 21 and Cradle of Filth at No. 63.

Irish boy band Westlife also achieved No. 1 glory as its seventh single "My Love" debuted at No. 1 n the Official U.K. Singles Chart. Other notable new Top 10 entries included children's television program characters the Tweenies' "Number 1" at No. 6, rapper Nelly's "Country Grammar" at No. 7 and Christina Aguilera [ tickets ]'s "Come on Over Baby (All I Want Is You)" at No. 8.

Downward slides included Spice Girls' double A-side "Holler Holler/Let Love Lead The Way" falling to No. 3 from No. 1 and Martine McCutcheon's "I'm Over You" dropping from No. 2 to No. 4.
