Aaron Carter sets a dozen tour dates
Aaron Carter , who recently ended stints as an opening act on Britney Spears’ British tour and his own promotional tour of Australia, will open a round of U.S dates on Nov. 22. The 12-year-old pop singer is the brother of Nick Carter of Backstreet Boys.
Aaron’s first album for Jive Records, “Aaron’s Party (Come Get It),” is currently at No. 23 on the Billboard 200 album chart, and is certified gold (500,000 units shipped) by the Recording Industry Association of America. “Aaron’s Party...” debuted at No. 16 on the album chart five weeks ago, and its title track briefly cracked the Billboard Top 40.
All of Aaron’s chart success has come without the benefit of substantial radio airplay. His is an omnipresent face on the Nickelodeon cable network, however. According to his official website, Aaron's Nickelodeon special on Aug. 12 was the highest rated music special ever aired on the network.
In September, Aaron embarked on a 13-city tour of Wal-Mart stores which featured a live performance by Aaron with dancers, followed by an autograph session.
