Nickelback plots more 'Dark Horse' dates

Nickelback will follow up international dates early next year with a slate of North American performances as the band continues its "Dark Horse World Tour."

The stateside slate of dates kicks off with four Canadian stops that begin April 6 in London, Ontario, and the Grammy-nominated outfit will then concentrate on the eastern portion of the US, with performances in Washington, DC (4/13), Orlando (4/19) and Atlanta (4/21), among others. The run currently concludes with an April 24 show in Tulsa, OK, though more concerts will be added in the coming weeks, according to a press release. The full schedule is to the right.

The outing will also feature special guests Breaking Benjamin and Shinedown; more opening acts will be announced soon.

Tickets for most shows go on sale Dec. 4 via Live Nation, though fan-club members will have access to presale tickets beginning Nov. 27.

"Dark Horse," Nickelback's sixth studio set, surfaced last November and debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200. Co-produced by the band and Grammy Award-winning producer Robert "Mutt" Lange (AC/DC, Def Leppard), the platinum-certified album won five Juno Awards in the band's native Canada, including Rock Album of the Year.

"Dark Horse" follows the group's 2005 release, "All the Right Reasons." The new effort's latest single, "Never Gonna Be Alone," is currently hitting airwaves and the video for the track is currently streaming at the band's website.
