Rapper Ol' Dirty Bastard was being transferred from a Pasadena drug treatment facility to a Los Angeles courthouse when he fled, Sonicnet reported. The facility is one in which patients are not restrained. A warrant has been issued for his arrest, and if he is arrested, he will not be allowed to post bail.
Intel.com will stream Neil Young 's Bridge School benefit shows on Oct. 28 at 5 p.m. Pacific Time and on Oct. 29 at 2 p.m. Pacific Time.
Primal Scream will play four U.K. show in December prior to its New Year's Eve performance at London's Alexandra Palace: Brighton's Brighton Centre (12/17), Bristol's Colston Hall (12/19), Birmingham's Birmingham Academy (12/20) and Manchester's Apollo (12/22).
Irish folk rock group the Saw Doctors will return to the U.S. in late November and December to play shows at Boston's Avalon (11/28), Washington D.C.'s 9.30 Club (11/30) and New York's Irving Plaza (12/1-2).
Chumbawamba has made its new song "Pass It Along (MP3 mix)" available on its website. The song, which has a pro-file-sharing theme, samples musicians which have vocally opposed file-sharing such as Metallica and Dr. Dre.
Johnny Cash said that he was misdiagnosed with Shy-Drager Syndrome, The Associated Press reported.
Quincy Jones and Mos Def are among the performers who have contributed to "The Rose That Grew From Concrete, Volume I," a collection of interpretations of Tupac Shakur 's posthumously published poetry.
