Fred Durst calls in sick for Anger Management date
Swollen vocal cords sidelined Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst on Tuesday night (10/24), resulting in the postponement of the Anger Management Tour stop that was to take place at Pepsi Arena in Albany, N.Y. The postponement came on what was to be the fourth stop of the tour.
Promoters announced that the Albany show has been rescheduled for Dec. 11, and will feature a line-up of Limp Bizkit, Godsmack, DMX, and another act to be announced. Eminem will not appear on the rescheduled date. The tour is expected to resume in Toronto on Thursday (10/26).
In other Limp Bizkit news, following the cancellation of the Anger Management Tour’s Nov. 20 show in Las Vegas, MTV reported that Las Vegas radio station KXTE-FM has pulled Limp Bizkit tracks from its playlist and is urging listeners to return copies of the band’s new album. The station also reportedly aired a parody of the "The Beverly Hillbillies" theme with lyrics accusing Durst of canceling the show so that he could make more money elsewhere.
The station stopped playing the parody on the air and removed an MP3 of the song from its website at the request of Limp Bizkit’s management last Friday (10/20), MTV reported.
