Foo Fighters take on Britain in December

LONDON--Foo Fighters have announced seven U.K. and Irish dates to follow their current U.S. tour. The post-grunge Nirvana spin-off--which prefers mid-size clubs to arenas--will kick off the outing at the Olympia in Dublin, Ireland, on Dec. 5 and finish up at the Barrowlands in Glasgow, Scotland, on Dec. 14.

The group’s U.K. press officer told liveDaily that no new material would be introduced in conjunction with the tour. However, the single "Next Year," off of 1999’s "There Is Nothing Left to Lose," would be released on Nov. 27.

Dave Grohl and company are at the beginning of their 14-date American tour, which ends in Washington D.C. on Nov. 14. Their last British outing was at the Reading & Leeds Festival in August.

Foo Fighters are also scheduled to perform at Rock in Rio in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil on Jan. 13.
