Weekend Ticketing: Bon Jovi, Smashing Pumpkins, Cash Money, holiday pop
Tickets for at least four Bon Jovi shows are set to hit the market over the weekend. On Saturday (10/21) at 10 a.m. Eastern Time, tickets go on sale for the band’s Cincinnati stop. At 10 a.m. Central Time, tickets go on sale for the band’s Indianapolis show.
On Sunday (10/22) at 10 a.m. Central Time, tickets go on sale for the St. Louis show; at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, on-sales are planned for the Los Angeles show.
Soon-to-be defunct Smashing Pumpkins will say goodbye with a pair of concerts before the band’s hometown fans in Chicago: a Nov. 29 show at the United Center arena and a Dec. 2 finale at Metro, a 1,100-capacity club where many early Smashing Pumpkins shows took place.
Tickets for both shows will be priced at $35 before taxes and fees, and are scheduled to go on sale on Saturday (10/21) at noon Central Time, according to promoter Jam Productions. Tickets will be sold at the United Center box office and through Ticketmaster, but will not be sold at the Metro box office.
Radio stations are beginning to line up their annual holiday concerts, which usually feature short sets from several hot acts. In the Minneapolis market, KDWB’s Jingle Ball featuring Boyz II Men, 98 Degrees, Mya, Pink and Debelah Morgan is set for Dec. 11 at Target Center. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Central Time on Saturday (10/21).
Warren Zevon is planning to tour the U.S. extensively in November and December, and ticket on-sales are expected to begin on Friday (10/20) and Saturday (10/21) in at least four markets.
Friday on-sales are planned for shows in Minneapolis (10 a.m. Central Time), Cleveland and Ft. Wayne, Ind. (both at 10 a.m. Eastern Time). Tickets hit the market on Saturday at 10 a.m. Central Time for Zevon’s Chicago appearance. Tickets for his Pittsburgh appearance are also likely to go on sale on Saturday, but the on-sale time couldn’t be confirmed by press time.
Looking beyond the weekend, tickets are expected to go on sale Monday for at least four Jingle Ballers Jam shows, featuring several of Cash Money Records’ Cash Money Millionaires. The tour’s line-up features Nelly, Lil’ Kim, Juvenile, Lil' Wayne, Hot Boyz, B.G. and Big Tymers.
On-sales for the tour’s Philadelphia, New York City, Uniondale, N.Y., Albany, N.Y., and Pittsburgh, Pa., shows are planned for Monday (10/23) at 10 a.m. Eastern Time.
