Alan Jackson to end 2000 on the arena circuit

Alan Jackson plans to visit more than a dozen North American arenas through early December to support his forthcoming album “When Somebody Loves You.” Clay Walker will be the opening act for all shows east of the Mississippi River, and Brad Paisley will be the opener west of the Mississippi.

Jackson reportedly will be No. 2 on the bill of George Strait ’s four-year old Country Music Festival stadium tour, which is expected to launch in late March or early April. According to Billboard Bulletin, the tour will likely visit about 16 cities, none of them repeats of last year’s stops. Jackson and Strait collaborated on the single “Murder on Music Row,” which recently picked up a CMA Award.

The first single from “When Somebody Loves You, "www.memory," has quickly garnered extensive airplay on country music radio in advance of the album’s Nov. 7 release date. A video for the single debuted on the CMT cable network on Wednesday (10/18).
