Kanye West calls Taylor Swift, apologizes

Shortly after Taylor Swift appeared on the ABC-TV daytime talk show "The View" and said that Kanye West had yet to reach out to her personally about his outburst during her acceptance speech at Sunday's (9/13) MTV Video Music Awards ceremony, Swift reportedly got a call from the hip-hop star himself.

Representatives from "The View" reportedly said West reached Swift by telephone to apologize after her appearance on the show. "Kanye did call me and he was very sincere in his apology, and I accepted that apology," Swift later told ABC News Radio.

During a Tuesday (9/15) interview on the ABC-TV morning talk show "The View," Swift said that she would accept a phone call or email from West "if he wanted to say 'hi.'"

Swift also described what was going through her head when West took the mic from her hands and he ranted that the award Swift had just won for Best Female Video should have gone to Beyonce. Swift said her thoughts ranged from, "'Wow, I can't believe I won,'" to "'Oh, Kanye West is Here. Cool haircut. What are you doing there?' And then, 'Ouch.' And then, 'I guess I'm not going to get to thank the fans.'"
