Report: Michael Jackson's family opposing tribute show
Michael Jackson's mother and other members of the Jackson family reportedly are angry at Jermaine Jackson over a MJ tribute concert scheduled to be held Sept. 26 in Vienna.
Members of the Jackson family along with others connected to the concert claim Katherine Jackson was badgered into announcing her support of the event, according to TMZ.com. The sources told TMZ Jermaine was complaining to his mom about all the bad press he was receiving and repeatedly asked her to support the Vienna event.
None of Michael's family members will be going to Vienna for the show, except Jermaine, according to TMZ sources. The family reportedly thinks it makes no sense to hold the first tribute event in a country that has no special connection to Michael. (Jermaine reportedly said the concert was going to be held outside Vienna's Schoenbrunn Palace because his brother loved castles.)
Despite the fact that Jermaine has begun to announce artists (Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown and Natalie Cole) for the Michael Jackson tribute show, one family member scoffed at the event, calling it "The Jermaine Jackson show," according to TMZ.
