Alt-rockers Pearl Jam [ tickets ] have added a handful of concerts to their in-progress summer-and-fall itinerary behind "Backspacer," the band's long-awaited new album.

The outing, which continues Aug. 21 in Toronto, is now slated to stop by Vancouver (9/25), Ridgefield, WA (9/26) and West Valley City, UT (9/28). A pair of two-night stands Oct. 27-28 and Oct. 30-31 in Philadelphia cap the run. The full schedule is shown below.

Pearl Jam fan-club members will have the opportunity to purchase pre-sale tickets before the general public.

"Backspacer," Pearl Jam's ninth studio set and first since their 2006 eponymous release, will hit shelves Sept. 20. "The Fixer," the album's lead single, is currently streaming at the band's website. The track hit radio and digital retailers late last month.

Earlier this month, Pearl Jam announced plans to sell live recordings of some of the tour dates exclusively through the band's website. The shows will be available in three formats: mp3, flac and burn-on-demand CDs.
