Radiohead unleashes new free single
A new Radiohead single titled "These Are My Twisted Works" was made available today (8/17) as a free download from the band's official website. The track leaked online last week.
"We've been recording for a while, and this was one of the first we finished," Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood, in a message posted at the site, wrote of the band's new track. "We're pretty proud of it. There's other stuff in various states of completion, but this is one we've been practicing, and which we'll probably play at this summer's concerts. Hope you like it."
The band, which has chosen not to sign a long-term record deal, also issued its latest album, 2007's "In Rainbows," via its website, and asked fans to pay what they chose for the download. The same album had its traditional release in the US on the ATO/Red label in January of 2008.
Earlier this month, Radiohead issued another song, "Harry Patch (In Memory Of)," a charity single with proceeds earmarked for the British Legion. Patch died July 25 at age 111, and was Britian's last surviving World War I veteran.
