Official Michael Jackson anthology on the way
Fans craving a heavy dose of the late King of Pop can look forward to this winter's release of "The Official Michael Jackson Opus," a massive hardcover book that weighs in at nearly 40 pounds.
The 400-plus page tome will be 13" wide by 18" high, hand bound in leather, and packaged in "an elegant silk clamshell case," according to a press release, which describes the book as the "definitive photographic record of the man and his music--including never-before-seen contents." The pages will also feature stories, essays and comments from "some of the most well-known names in the entertainment industry."
"The Official Michael Jackson Opus" is billed as the only new licensed book that is endorsed and approved by the Michael Jackson estate and marks the first publication marketed and sold exclusively by Ticketmaster, which began taking pre-orders yesterday (8/12); fans who pre-order by Oct. 30 will be guaranteed delivery in time for "the holiday season," according to Ticketmaster. (LiveDaily is an operating unit of Ticketmaster Entertainment, which also owns Ticketmaster.)
Additional details and images of the book are available at "The Official Michael Jackson Opus" website.
