Dave Matthews Band plans private beach gig for contest winners

Dave Matthews Band will perform a private Caribbean concert this fall for winners of the Port Paradise promotion contest held by Bud Light.

More than 4,000 contest winners will embark on a four-day, three-night cruise to the Bahamas Oct. 23-26, complete with on-board parties and sightseeing activities in Nassau. The two cruise liners will dock on the private island of Coco Cay for a winners-only concert performed by Dave Matthews Band on Oct. 25.

DMB fans 21 years of age and older can enter the sweepstakes at the Bud Light Port Paradise official website through Aug. 17.

The Virginia-based jam band released "Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King," in June. The record, the band's first studio set since the death of saxophonist LeRoi Moore last summer, debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200, marking the group's fifth consecutive No. 1 album debut.
