Album Chart: Daughtry debuts at No. 1
Chris Daughtry 's eponymous band tops this week's US album chart, with the group's sophomore set, "Leave This Town," moving 269,000 copies during its first week in stores.
That marks Daughtry's second consecutive album to reach No. 1 on The Billboard 200 chart; the group's self-titled debut reached No. 1 in January 2007.
Maxwell's "BLACKsummer'snight" falls one notch to No. 2 this week with sales of 103,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan retail data as reported by Billboard.
The "Hannah Montana 3" soundtrack slips one slot to No. 3 on sales of 73,000, while the "Now 31" hits compilation falls one position to No. 4 on sales of 69,000. The Black Eyed Peas' "The E.N.D." holds onto No. 5 this week with sales of 54,000.
Rounding out the Top 10 are The Dead Weather's "Horehound" at No. 6 with sales of 51,000; Joe's "Signature" at No. 7 on sales of 49,000,; Twista's "Catagory F5" at No. 8 on sales of 45,000; Taylor Swift's "Fearless" at No. 9 with sales of 37,000; and Kings of Leon's "Only By the Night" at No. 10 with 33,000 copies sold.
