Green Day plans December invasion of U.K.

LONDON--Green Day have extended its December visit to the U.K. by adding three more shows. Initially, the band was to play only a one-off gig at London’s Wembley Arena on Dec. 8.

The three new arena dates in Manchester and Nottingham, England, and Glasgow, Scotland, follow the release of the band's latest album “Warning," which went to No. 4 on the Official U.K. album chart on Sunday (10/8).

The pop-punk trio, consisting Billie Joe Armstrong, Tre Cool, and Mike Dirnt, play on the KNDD Radio Show in Seattle on Tuesday (10/10) before heading off to five Australian dates beginning in Sydney on Oct. 18.
