Reznor: Bonnaroo was NIN's 'last show ever' in US

Nine Inch Nails ' Trent Reznor said from the stage during his group's Saturday (6/13) performance at Tennessee's annual Bonnaroo festival that the show would be NIN's last on US soil, according to published reports.

"It just dawned on me that this is our last show ever in the United States," the Associated Press quoted Reznor as saying. "Don't be sad. I'll keep going. But I think I'm going to lose my ... mind if I keep doing this, and I have to stop."

Reznor's remarks shouldn't come as too much of a shock; the musician announced in December that the group's just-completed North American outing, dubbed the "Wave Goodbye" tour, would be its last for the "foreseeable future."

In February, Reznor posted at NIN's website a message in which he wrote, "I've been thinking for some time now it's time to make NIN disappear for a while." He went on to describe the group's just-completed co-headlining run with Jane's Addiction as "a different way for you to see us and wave goodbye."

Reznor, NIN's only constant member, has been recording, releasing new music and touring almost non-stop since 2005. That year saw the release of "With Teeth," NIN's first new full-length studio set since 1999's "The Fragile." "Year Zero" followed in April of 2007; "Y34RZ3R0R3MIX3D" in November of 2007; the 36-track instrumental set "Ghosts I-IV" in March of 2008; and "The Slip"--which Reznor gave away as a free download--in May of 2008.
