Honor Society doubles as Jonas openers, club headliners
Pop-rockers Honor Society will juggle opening duties on the Jonas Brothers ' North American arena tour with intimate club appearances in select cities during what the group has dubbed the "Full Moon Crazy Tour."
The New Jersey-based quartet begins its trek alongside the Jonas Brothers June 20 in Arlington, TX, stopping by 44 cities through the end of August. Several two-night stands are on the schedule, including East Rutherford, NJ (7/14-7/15); Boston (7/17-7/18); Uniondale, NY (7/20-7/21) and Philadelphia (7/23-7/24).
Along the way, the up-and-coming pop stars will perform pre- and post-show headlining gigs at clubs and theaters in select cities. The band's solo performances kick off July 11 at Chicago's House of Blues and continue through Aug. 27 in Cleveland, OH. Both schedules are detailed below.
Honor Society--comprised of lead singer/guitarist Michael Bruno, keyboardist/guitarist Jason Rosen, keyboardist/bassist Andrew Lee and drummer Alexander Noyes--released its debut EP, "A Tale of Risky Business," last summer.
The band, which is managed by the Jonas Group, which also manages the Jonas Brothers, has recently been working on its full-length debut.
"We've been lucky to be able to co-write songs for our new album with the Jonases, and we've created this cool, creative environment between the four of us and the three of them," bassist Andrew Lee told Entertainment Weekly in February. "They have completely welcomed us into the entire Jonas family, and we have all become fast friends."
Noyes served as drummer for the Jonas Brothers in 2006, around the time the trio's debut album, "It's About Time," surfaced.
