Nine Inch Nails reportedly wowed their Chicago fans on Friday night (5/29) with a set lasting more than an hour and a half, complete with the usual massive amounts of smoke and edgy lighting.

Once thought of as a rock 'n' roll bad-ass, frontman Trent Reznor has been showing a softer side lately. In particular, he joined forces with fiancé Mariqueen Maandig to help raise money for a young man in need of a heart transplant. Reznor made the plea via Twitter, and later claimed he raised more than $260,000 in less than a day. To date, Reznor says the sum has reached over $870,000.

Touring with Jane's Addiction and Street Sweeper Social Club, Nine Inch Nails will be out on the road until they wrap things up as the headlining act at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, TN (6/13).
