Nine Inch Nails [ tickets ] reportedly wowed their Chicago fans on Friday night (5/29) with a set lasting more than an hour and a half, complete with the usual massive amounts of smoke and edgy lighting.

Once thought of as a rock 'n' roll bad-ass, frontman Trent Reznor has been showing a softer side lately. In particular, he joined forces with fiancé Mariqueen Maandig [ tickets ] to help raise money for a young man in need of a heart transplant. Reznor made the plea via Twitter, and later claimed he raised more than $260,000 in less than a day. To date, Reznor says the sum has reached over $870,000.

Touring with Jane's Addiction [ tickets ] and Street Sweeper Social Club, Nine Inch Nails will be out on the road until they wrap things up as the headlining act at the Bonnaroo [ tickets ] Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, TN (6/13).
