Katy Perry continues 'Hello Katy' trek

Katy Perry has tacked another leg onto her 'Hello Katy Tour,' keeping the pop songstress on the road through late summer behind last year's "One of the Boys."

The singer/songwriter, who kicked off her debut headlining run in January, will remain on the road through a Sept. 5 performance at Seattle's Bumbershoot Festival. Since last check, eight dates--all in major markets--have been added to her itinerary, including stops in New York (7/24 and 7/28), Toronto (7/26), Houston (8/2) and Irvine, CA (8/4), among others.

Perry, who finished up the first leg of the US trek in late April, currently is preparing for a four-date Japan leg that begins May 25 and includes a free Tokyo concert next Wednesday (5/27) sponsored by H&M. The 30-minute performance will be broadcast live at the retail chain's website.

Earlier this month, Perry postponed a May 9 concert in Santa Barbara, CA, due to wildfires.

"Naturally, I am very upset," the singer said in a prepared statement announcing the show's postponement. "But I understand the circumstances and am counting down the days when we can all be back at the Bowl to celebrate Santa Barbara and experience the Hello Katy Tour' grand finale!"

The California performance is now slated for Aug. 30.

Perry released her major-label debut, "One of the Boys," last July. The set features hit singles "I Kissed a Girl," "Hot N Cold" and "Waking Up in Vegas," which the singer performed on a recent episode of "American Idol."
