Celebrating the release of his long anticipated new album "Relapse," rapper Eminem treated his hometown of Detroit to a free concert at the Motor City Casino's Sound Board Theatre last night (5/19).

Tipped off by an announcement Sunday night (5/17) on "Family Guy," fans of all-ages began camping out around the block at Eminem's childhood haunt--Record Time in Roseville, MI--to receive free tickets. Store owner Mike Himes told LiveDaily today that he was humbled that the rapper chose his store to be part of the fanfare. "By 5 p.m. on Monday (5/18), there were about 800 people in line," he said. "Overall, it went pretty orderly."

Fans were treated to a 40 minute set that included DJ Alchemist and Kon Artis as well as members of D12 , who joined Eminem on stage during the encore, a performance of "Lose Yourself" from "8 Mile."

Detroit-based LiveDaily photographer Gene Schilling was on the scene, and here are some of his best shots.
