Green Day to play intimate Hollywood gig

Green Day has added a late-spring Hollywood performance to the group's upcoming tour behind its just-released album, "21st Century Breakdown."

The pop-punk trio will play an intimate show June 4 at Hollywood's Music Box at the Fonda, roughly a month prior to the band's sweeping North American arena trek, which kicks off July 3 in Seattle. The 38-city outing runs through an Aug. 25 performance in Inglewood, after which the band jumps across the pond for a 26-date European run.

"21st Century Breakdown," Green Day's first studio album in five years, surfaced last Friday (5/15) after being in the works for three years. The record's first single, "Know Your Enemy," has climbed Billboard's Pop 100, peaking at No. 51.

Tickets for the Hollywood show go on sale tomorrow (5/20) via Ticketmaster, LiveDaily's parent company.
