Classic rockers Journey [ tickets ] have lined up a slate of summer casino and outdoor dates as they continue to push hard on the road behind their new lead vocalist.

The group, which notched a few shows in Hawaii last month after returning from a tour of China, Japan and The Philippines, kicks off the summer outing July 16 in Walker, MN. The trek runs into the early days of fall, and currently is scheduled to wind down Sept. 26 in New Orleans. Dates are below.

Released last June, the Kevin Shirley-produced "Revelation" is a three-disc package featuring one disc containing 11 re-recorded greatest hits featuring the band's new lead vocalist, Arnel Pineda, one with new material, and one DVD of the group's March performance at the Planet Hollywood Theatre for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas.

"We were feeding [Arnel] a song a day," keyboardist Jonathan Cain said of the brisk rehearsal/recording process of the new material in an interview last year with LiveDaily. "'Go home and learn this and come back and sing it tomorrow.' That's basically what he did. He didn't get a lot of time to rehearse these new songs, and he's killing them now. What he's doing on stage is so much better than the album."

Pineda--who guitarist Neal Schon discovered while surfing, of all places, YouTube--replaced former singer Jeff Scott Soto in late 2007. Soto himself had replaced the band's previous lead singer, Steve Augeri, a year earlier.
