Coachella streamed live at AT&T
AT&T Music will bring this weekend's Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival to computer screens across the country with a daily live stream of performances from a variety of artists including Paul McCartney , The Killers , The Cure , Morrissey , Franz Ferdinand and M.I.A., according to a press release.
The company also will stream the Coachella performances April 17-19 on select wireless handsets of AT&T customers via MobiTV and MobiVJ, which can be downloaded at AT&T Media Mall or by texting "TV" to 386 from a compatible phone. (Standard text and data messaging charges apply.)
Select archived performances also will be made available following the festival on AT&T Music, AT&T U-verse TV and through CV on AT&T wireless.
McCartney, who is tonight's (4/17) headliner, will have 45 minutes of his set streamed live. The complete performance lineup for the live webcast will be available at AT&T's music site.
The company also will have a presence on site with the "Cool Down and Charge Up with AT&T" tent, where festival goers can check out new technology and applications, recharge their cell phones, have photos taken, and preview and purchase ringtones, Answer Tones and full tracks through Media Mall.
