Toby Keith, Trace Adkins take on 'Toughest Tour'

Toby Keith has unveiled plans for a US summer run dubbed "Toby Keith America's Toughest Tour."

The 29-city trek begins June 18 in Holmdel, NJ, and will scour the nation, stopping by arenas and amphitheaters from coast to coast. Fellow country singer Trace Adkins will accompany Keith on the outing, which wraps up Sept. 19 in Tinley Park, IL. Details are below.

Keith, who finished up the last leg of his "Biggest and Baddest Tour" at the end of February, is touring in support of his 14th studio effort, last year's "That Don't Make Me a Bad Guy." The October release shot to No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, making it the seventh chart-topping record of the country superstar's career. The effort's third single, "Lost You Anyway," is out now.

Keith is the latest artist to contribute songs to the "Rock Band" video game, available on Wii, Xbox and Playstation 3. Gamers can now pay to download and play along with six of the singer's most popular tracks, including "Should've Been a Cowboy," "How Do You Like Me Now" and "Beer For My Horses." The outspoken singer also lent his time to the movie "Beer For My Horses," which he co-wrote and starred in. The feature film, which is based on his song of the same name, aired earlier this year on CMT and is now available on DVD.

During the tour, Adkins will perform material from his most recent studio set, "X," which surfaced in November and peaked at No. 7 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart.
Adkins recently took home an Academy of Country Music Awards trophy for Single of the Year for his chart-topping hit "You're Gonna Miss This," from his 2007 album "American Man: Greatest Hits Volume II."
