"Invincible Summer" tour to bring k.d. lang back to North America
Singer-songwriter k.d. lang plans to follow her October tour of Europe with a November tour of North America, according to her official website. Tickets to seven of her 13 scheduled North American dates are currently available via a special Internet pre-sale.
Tickets for lang’s dates in Berkeley (11/11) and San Rafael, Calif. (11/12), her two-night stand at the Universal Amphitheatre near Los Angeles (11/16-17) and her stops in Tampa (11/24), Miami Beach (11/25) and Orlando, Fla. (11/26), are currently available online as part of a special Internet pre-sale, according to Ticketmaster.com. Information on how to obtain tickets can be found on lang’s website. (LiveDaily is a publication of Ticketmaster-CitySearch.)
Lang’s European tour gets underway on Oct. 3 in England, and includes a three-night stand at London’s Hammersmith Apollo. Subsequent stops are also scheduled in Germany, and a final European date is set for Oct. 18 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The singer is then scheduled to kick off a tour of North America in Vancouver, B.C., on Nov. 7. Dates in the Pacific Northwest and other parts of California follow before she heads through Texas and Florida. The North American leg is currently scheduled to run until a Nov. 28 stop in North Carolina.
Lang is touring in support of “Invincible Summer,” which was released in June. She finished a headlining U.S. tour earlier this month, according to her itinerary. Prior to that run, she opened for Sting on a leg of his “Brand New Day” tour.
