Roots announce Picnic details

Public Enemy , TV on the Radio and The Black Keys will be among the acts to join The Roots June 6 at the second annual Roots Picnic at Philadelphia's Festival Pier at Penn's Landing, according to the event website.

The Roots, who are scheduled to play two sets, also will be joined by Antibalas, Santigold, Dirty Magazine featuring Zoe Kravitz, and Busdriver on the main stage. The second stage will feature Asher Roth, Writtenhouse, King Britt & Dozia, Dave P. (of Making Time, etc.) and Kid Cudi.

The Roots, who are the new house band on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon," will also team with Antibalas to back Public Enemy during a special performance of "It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold us Back." It will be the first time the album will be recreated with the help of a live band.
