Steven Tyler teaches Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp
Steven Tyler will offer advice and lessons to participants as the headlining artist of this year's Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp.
Scheduled for April 29-May 3 in Hollywood, CA, the five-day event, which brings music lovers of all skill levels together with real rock stars like the Aerosmith frontman and other industry professionals, offers attendees an authentic taste of the rock-'n'-roll lifestyle for a four-figure price.
Campers learn from and rehearse with musicians, form bands and write and record an original song before hitting both the stage and the recording studio. This year, registrants will perform at Hollywood's Sunset Strip hotspot Whiskey A Go Go and record at the legendary Capital Studios designed by guitar legend Les Paul. More information about the camp, including registration details, can be found at RockCamp.com.
Other artists on the 2009 roster include Todd Rundgren, Mark Farner, Duff McKagan (Guns N Roses, Velvet Revolver), Steve Lukather (Toto), Alan White (Yes), Bruce Kulick (KISS), Eddie Kramer, Mark Hudson, Sandy Gennaro (Bo Diddley, Joan Jett), Slim Jim Phantom (Stray Cats) and Teddy Andreadis (Guns 'N Roses, Alice Cooper).
Olympic ice skater Scott Hamilton and Food Network star Guy Fieri have signed up as 2009 Fantasy campers.
Since the camp's 1997 start, camp guest stars have included Slash (Guns 'N Roses), Roger Daltrey (The Who), Bill Wyman (The Rolling Stones) and Brian Wilson (The Beach Boys).
