Stevie Wonder makes live DVD debut
Stevie Wonder will release his first live concert DVD next week. The disc, "Live at Last - A Wonder Summer's Night," will be released worldwide March 9 and in the US on March 10, according to a press release.
The DVD was filmed at London's 02 Arena over two nights last fall. The concerts were part of Wonder's first world tour in more than a decade.
"Live at Last" features music that spans Wonder's career, from his teenage hits "My Cherie Amour" and "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours" to later classics including "Superstition," "Higher Ground," "Living For the City" and "You Are the Sunshine of My Life."
It also features fan favorites, covers and a guest vocal from Wonder's daughter Aisha Morris, who performs Nat King Cole's jazz standard "I'm Gonna Laugh You Right Out of My Life."
Several of the cover tunes tip their hat to the British audience: a medley of the Beatles' "Fool on the Hill" and "I Want To Hold Your Hand" and the Rolling Stones classic "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction."
The 58-year-old music legend's newest song, "All About the Love Again," is featured on the compilation "Change is Now: Renewing America's Promise," which was released on Inauguration Day.
