CNET reported that Oklahoma State University campus police, after receiving a letter from the Recording Industry Association of America, confiscated the computer of a student who allegedly was operating a site for downloading MP3s.
Rapper Flesh-N-Bone (aka Stanley Howse) of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony pleaded no contest to a charge of possession of a sawed-off shotgun, The Associated Press reported.

Weekly reported that Neil Young 's biographer Jimmy McDonough has filed a $1.8 million lawsuit against subject: the writer spent seven years working on the authorized biography, only to have Young ultimately block publication. The suit seeks publication of the book, claiming breach of contract.
