Bruce Springsteen to headline Glastonbury Festival

Bruce Springsteen has added the Saturday evening headlining position at this year's Glastonbury Festival to his current "Working on a Dream" world tour. This marks the rock icon's first appearance at the long-running British music festival, set this year for June 24-28. Tickets for the five-day event are sold out.

"I'm so pleased that Bruce Springsteen has agreed to come to Worthy Farm for the first time. He's one of the all-time rock legends and I'm confident that this will be one of our best shows ever. He's also a Barack Obama supporter, which makes two headliners in a row who've backed the new President," said festival founder and organizer Michael Eavis, referring to the only other confirmed act, Franz Ferdinand.

More lineup announcements are expected in the coming weeks.
