Joe Perry recovering, talks Aerosmith plans
Joe Perry is recovering at home after his recent emergency knee surgery, according to a press release. The Aerosmith guitarist continues to fight off the infection that developed after he had an artificial knee installed approximately 10 months ago.
Perry, whose recovery reportedly is going very well, will soon head into the studio to record a new Aerosmith album. He also hopes to get back on the road in late spring or early summer.
"The last two tours, I was in an extreme amount of pain, and it took everything I had to give you the show I know you deserved," Perry said in a statement. "I am looking forward to playing shows without any pain in my knee for the first time in three years."
