Aerosmith pulls out of Venezuela's Solid Fest

Aerosmith will be unable to perform Feb. 1 at "Solid Fest" in Caracas, Venezuela, due to Joe Perry's need for emergency knee surgery, according to a press release.

Perry underwent total knee replacement surgery in March 2008. The upcoming surgery is a result of unforeseen complications from that surgery.

The band is hoping to reschedule another show in Venezuela. "Playing Venezuela was my idea of a perfect way to start the New Year," Steven Tyler said in a statement. "But having heard Joe had to revisit the hospital this month, the band are truly disappointed we can't be in Caracas, and we hope to see everyone there soon."
